Virtual Trade Promotion platform was launched by the Economic Development Board on 12 November 2020. The establishment of this virtual platform comes at a time when global trade has been severely impacted by the current Covid-19 pandemic.

This virtual platform primarily aims to showcase Mauritian products and position Mauritius as a sourcing destination for high value-added products. To this end, the platform will provide opportunities for buyers, suppliers, agents, distributors to connect and schedule B2B meetings with local manufacturers.

Products on display include aluminium and related products, cosmetics, perfumes and beauty care products, chemicals, electrical appliances and other machineries and equipment, fertilisers, furniture, medical devices, optical products, jewelleries, iron and steel products, plastic products, printing and packaging products and soaps and other detergents amongst others.

The event is an attempt to encourage Mauritian entrepreneurs to explore new marketing opportunities and connect with potential business partners virtually.
