Islamic banking

Islamic banking can be carried out in Mauritius either through a window or by operating a full-fledged Islamic bank.

The Bank of Mauritius has issued a Guideline for institutions conducting Islamic banking business, setting out the expectations that would need to be fulfilled by the concerned licensees.
