On 25th October 2008, the Indian Ocean International Bank Ltd (IOIB) amalgamated with SBI International (Mauritius) Ltd (SBIIML), a subsidiary of the State Bank of India (SBI), under the new brand name of the SBI (Mauritius) Ltd.
